 Lord of The butterflies

Written by Andrea Gibson

About from Goodreads.com

In Andrea Gibson's latest collection, they continue their artful and nuanced looks at gender, romance, loss, and family. Each emotion here is deft and delicate, resting inside of imagery heavy enough to sink the heart, while giving the body wings to soar.

Review

At first I thought “these aren’t really the type of poems I enjoy, but I could see others enjoy them.” Once I actually started reading more  I found the deepness of every poem. Gibson is a true artist. Sculpting words beautifully and eloquently. With amazing symbolism. As someone who is part of the LGBT they show what we deal with daily and the terror we deal with. My favorite poem was ‘Ode to the Public Panic Attack’.

If you enjoy poetry or are part of the LGBT I would recommend at least checking out the poems.
