Review

When I first started reading I was getting frustrated because Sophie seemed a lot like “Mary-Sue” character* which is something that will completely ruin a book for me because everyone has some type of flaw(s). The more I read, I noticed that wasn’t true. She has serious anxiety that leads to her pulling out her eyelashes (Trichotillomania)

I really enjoyed this story, the detail Messenger added  was absolutely amazing to the point where you can picture every little detail in your mind. The plot is also absolutely amazing. I couldn't put the book down and I ended up bingeing this book. I am very thankful that I kept reading even though in the beginning I thought Sophie was a ‘Mary-Sue’ I cannot wait to start the next one.

Enjoyed

  • That Sophie isn’t a ‘Mary-Sue’ character as I thought she was in the beginning.

  • Amount of details that Messenger used.
