Milk and Honey
Written by Rupi Kaur
About from Goodreads.com
Milk and honey' is a collection of poetry and prose about survival. About the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity. It is split into four chapters, and each chapter serves a different purpose. Deals with a different pain. Heals a different heartache. 'milk and honey' takes readers through a journey of the most bitter moments in life and finds sweetness in them because there is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look.
Review
As a child and teenager I used to write poems but I wasn’t into reading them. Lately I have enjoyed a few different poetry books and this would be one of them. Each poem is short. Even though they don’t have a lot of words they are extremely deep. They brought up happiness and deep sadness of memories from my past. Kaur has a beautiful and outstanding way of taking the saddest moments in life and make something extraordinary.
